Excel

• A MicroStrategy 2021 Platform or newer environment with Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) is a mechanism that uses additional HTTP headers to tell a browser to let a web application running at one origin (domain) have permission to access selected resources from a server at a different origin. enabled. • MicroStrategyLibrary/static must be available to use custom authentication methods.

• Desktop application for Microsoft Excel 2016 (Retail only) or newer.

• Microsoft Excel Online supported in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

• Windows 10 or 11 or macOS Mojave or High Sierra.

PowerPoint

Compatibility and Interoperability

MicroStrategy for Office supports Excel and PowerPoint via add-ins and Microsoft Teams with a custom app built for your organization.

The MicroStrategy Excel add-in is supported in web for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari browsers, while the Teams app is supported in Chrome and Edge. MicroStrategy recommends staying current with browser updates and upgrades to leverage the capabilities and features added in each version.

MicroStrategy for Office also supports the desktop version of Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams on Mac and Windows.

The previous .NET MicroStrategy Office add-in using XML and Web Services is no longer actively developed by MicroStrategy.
