Strategy One
Connect to Oracle
Starting in Strategy One (April 2026), you can create an Oracle data source using a TNS Names connection.
Connect to Oracle using Strategy's modern solution offerings. Strategy supports a wide range of Oracle versions across its platform.
Prerequisites

If you are using Cloud Wallet to connect to Oracle, you must have access to your Cloud Wallet zip file.

If you are using TNS Names Connection to connect to Oracle, you must have your TNS Names ORA file.
Connect to Oracle in Mosaic Studio
- Create a Mosaic model or right-click an existing Mosaic model and choose Edit.
- In the Sources tab, click Add Database.

Click Oracle.

Type a Name for the data source.

Expand the Database Version drop-down list and choose your Oracle database version.

Expand the Driver drop-down list and choose your Oracle driver type.

Expand the Connection Method drop-down list and choose Standard, Cloud Wallet, or starting in Strategy One (April 2026), TNS Names Connection.

If you choose Standard:

Type your Oracle Host Name.

Type your Oracle Port Number.

Type your Oracle SID or Service Name.

If you choose Cloud Wallet:

Click Select a File, find your Cloud Wallet configuration file, and click Open.

Expand the Service drop-down list and choose your Oracle service.

If you choose TNS Names Connection:

Type the Oracle Server Name.

Click Select a File, find your ORA file, and click Open.

Optionally toggle on Use Vault and enter your vault connection information.

If you do not toggle on Use Vault, type your Oracle Username and Password.

Optionally click Test.

If the connection is successful, click Save.
