Preview Feature: View Mosaic Model Links

Mosaic model links is a preview feature. Contact Strategy Support to enable it.

Starting in Strategy One (December 2025), you can link attributes between Mosaic models when creating and editing models. Use the Models view for a tabular view of all available models, displaying their interrelations through linked attributes.

Access Model Links

  1. Preview Feature: Import an Existing Mosaic Model.

  2. Click Prep and Model.

  3. Click Models.

Models Interface

Lines between models represent links. Solid lines represent existing links and dashed lines indicate Mosaic Studio recommended links. The Mosaic model with an orange banner represents the current model and models with a purple banner represent imported models.

Context Menus

Right-click an object to see the following options depending on the object.

Attribute

  • Rename

    • External model: If the attribute is from an external model, the rename option renames the attribute with an alias. The source model will maintain its current name.

    • Current model: If the attribute is from the current model, the rename option renames the attribute.

  • Hide: Hides the attribute when a user uses the model in a dashboard.

    You can also hover over an attribute and click the Hide Object icon.

  • Link to Model: Opens the Manage Links panel to create a new link.

Base or Advanced Metric

  • Rename

    • External model: If the metric is from an external model, the rename option renames the attribute with an alias. The source model will maintain its current name.

    • Current model: If the metric is from the current model, the rename option renames the attribute.

  • Hide: Hides the attribute when a user uses the model in a dashboard.

    You can also hover over an attribute and click the Hide Object icon.

Model

  • Hide: Hides all objects when a user uses the model in a dashboard. To display this option, select all objects.

  • Rename: Renames the model.

    This option is only available for the current model.

  • Link to Model: Opens the Manage Links panel to create a new link.

  • Delete: Remove the added model from the current model.

    This option is only available for external models.

Link

  • Edit: Opens the Manage Links panel to edit the link.

  • Remove Link: Deletes the link line and the corresponding attributes are renamed with attributes to prevent duplicate names.

    If you hover over the rename icon, a tooltip displays with the original name of the attribute or metric.
