Configure OAuth Parameters for Google BigQuery

Create OAuth Parameters

  1. In Workstation, connect to an environment.

  2. In the Navigation pane, click , next to Enterprise Security.

  3. Choose an Environment, Display Name, and select Google as the Identity Provider.

    The Login Redirect URIs update based on your environment.

  4. Register the Workstation URI for the application you created in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) console.

  5. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from the GCS application.

  6. Click Save.

Create the Data Source

  1. In Workstation, connect to an environment.

  2. In the Navigation pane, click , next to Data Sources.

  3. Find and select the Google BigQuery data source.

  4. Add a new BigQuery connection.

  5. Enter the Billing Project.

  6. In Authentication Mode, choose OAuth and select the OAuth object you created in Create OAuth Parameters.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Click Save.

    You can now use this data source from Workstation to create datasets and dashboards for analytics.

Create the Dataset

  1. In the Navigation pane, click , next to Datasets.

  2. Choose an Environment, Project, and select Data Import Cube.

  3. Find and select the Google BigQuery data source, choose the BigQuery dataset, and select the table.

  4. Click Prepare Data and Finish.

  5. Choose the Data Access Mode and save the dataset.

  6. Use the saved dataset to build dashboards.
