MicroStrategy ONE

Refreshing the Paxton Adapter Cache

The cache on the MicroStrategy Identity physical access control system (PACS) adapter contains information about each user, door or portal, and permissions, such as whether a user has access to use a door. When that information changes in your PACS, it becomes active in the adapter after the cache is refreshed in the adapter. The cache refresh can take several minutes.

The steps below begin the synchronizing action immediately. You can configure the adapter to automatically synchronize the cache on a recurring schedule. For the setting to configure, see Optimizing the Paxton Adapter for MicroStrategy Identity.

Your Paxton PACS has been integrated with MicroStrategy Identity. For steps, see Integrating Paxton Net2 with MicroStrategy Identity.

To Synchronize the Paxton Adapter Cache with the Paxton Net2 PACS

  1. Log into MicroStrategy Identity Manager:
    1. Navigate to the Identity Manager home page.
    2. On your smartphone, open the MicroStrategy Badge app and scan the displayed QR code.
  2. Click Physical Gateways.
  3. Under Building Access, for the adapter you want to synchronize, click Sync.
  4. To begin the synchronization, click Sync. A message displays that the synchronization started.

When you hover your cursor over Sync, a tooltip displays showing when the last synchronization occurred or if a synchronization is in progress.
