Zoom Level Selection While Editing Dashboards

Starting in Strategy One (January 2026), displaying a zoom level drop-down list while editing dashboards is available out-of-the-box.

When you edit a dashboard with a locked page size, the canvas always displays in its actual size which may be bigger than the available display area, making it difficult to view and design the full dashboard. Starting in Strategy One (December 2025), you can enable a preview feature to display a zoom level drop-down list when you are editing dashboards. Use the drop-down list to scale the canvas to a specific percentage, fit the canvas to the available display area, or fill the available display area with the canvas.

The zoom selection is not saved when you save the dashboard. When viewing the dashboard, the default scale ratio is still controlled by the Default Zoom in Library setting in the Dashboard Formatting Properties window.

Prerequisites

Enable the Feature Flag

The following is only required if you are using Strategy One (December 2025).

1. Open the /WEB-INF/classes/config/configOverride.properties file in the Library server folder.

2. Add the following row:

   features.supportAuthoringScale = true

3. Save the change.

4. Restart Tomcat.
