MicroStrategy ONE

Viewing Document Cache Hits

You can view document cache hit data using the Diagnostics and Performance Logging Tool. There are four performance counters available for retrieving this information:

  • Document Cache Utilization Ratio: Number of document cache files which have been hit / total number of document cache files.

  • Document Cache Hit Ratio: Number of times a document cache is found successfully / total times of finding document cache.

  • Total size (in MB) of high priority document caches loaded in memory: The total high-priority document cache size in Intelligence Server memory.

  • Total size (in MB) of low priority document caches loaded in memory: The total low-priority document cache size in Intelligence Server memory.

To enable these performance counters:

  1. Launch the Diagnostics and Performance Logging Tool.
  2. Select the Performance Configuration tab.
  3. Scroll to the MicroStrategy Server Jobs category.
  4. Select the File Log check box for the counters.

The log counters will be saved in the performance monitor log file: DSSPerformanceMonitor<IServer Process ID>.csv
