Maintaining data access security

Personal Intelligent Cubes automatically inherit all of the security provisions of every object used within the personal Intelligent Cube. These provisions are dynamically applied to each user's MicroStrategy security profile when the personal Intelligent Cube is accessed.

For example, if a user has privileges to use four of the five metrics contained in a personal Intelligent Cube, that restriction is automatically applied when the user accesses the personal Intelligent Cube. In other words, the user is given access to the four metrics in the personal Intelligent Cube that he or she has MicroStrategy privileges to use.
