Configuring an OEM deployment installation

Once MicroStrategy has been installed on the customer's environment, the following additional steps must be taken to prepare the initial configuration of MicroStrategy software:

• Provide the MicroStrategy metadata that was developed for the managed application.
• Create separate DSNs to connect to the data warehouse and the metadata, as described in Creating DSNs for OEM Environments.
• Use the Configuration Wizard to configure metadata, Intelligence Server, and project sources. If you saved your configurations as response files, these configurations can be re-used for automated configuration. For information on using the Configuration Wizard, see Configuring a MicroStrategy Installation.
• Configure and tune an OEM deployment through the use of various MicroStrategy tools, as described in Tuning an OEM Deployment.
