Signing in to Oracle Eloqua by Scanning a QR Code

Oracle® Eloqua users can log in using their smartphones to scan a QR code displayed on the computer screen. After you integrate the web application with MicroStrategy Identity, the Oracle Eloqua login page displays a QR code.

The following steps contain only the information required to configure or use Eloqua with MicroStrategy Identity. The information provided is subject to change. See the appropriate third-party documentation for the latest information.

You have Oracle Eloqua and have administrative privileges.

Your Eloqua users must exist as users in your Eloqua platform before you enable single sign-on.

To log into Eloqua with MicroStrategy Identity, the email addresses associated with each user's Eloqua account must match the email address associated with the user's MicroStrategy Badge.

To display a custom image on the Eloqua login page, you must create the image to display. Supported formats are .png, .jpeg, and .jpg.

To Integrate Eloqua with MicroStrategy Identity

  1. Log into MicroStrategy Identity Manager.
  2. Click Logical Gateways.
  3. Under Web Application Login, click More, then click Eloqua.
  4. You can change the image that is displayed on your Eloqua login page. Next to the image preview, click Import an Icon. Select an image to display, then click Open.
  5. In the Enter Display Name field, provide a name to display on your Eloqua login page. The name can be up to 30 characters.
  6. If the users in your Identity Network are added from Microsoft Active Directory, you can enable users to sign in to Eloqua by typing their Active Directory user name and password, rather than scanning a QR code.

If not all users in your network have access to a smartphone, you can enable users to sign in with their user name and password. To do this, select the Enable user name and password as login option check box.

  7. Download the MicroStrategy Identity provider metadata file. The metadata includes a configuration .xml file that Eloqua uses to automatically configure the settings for connecting to MicroStrategy Identity. The metadata also contains the Identity security certificate for your Eloqua platform. Note the location on your computer where the metadata .xml file is saved.
  8. In a new browser window or tab, log in to Oracle Eloqua.
  9. Open Settings, select Setup, and then select Users. From the Single Sign-on drop-down list, select Identity Provider Settings.
  10. Upload the Identity metadata file that you downloaded from MicroStrategy Identity Manager. Give your configuration a name, then save your changes.
  11. Download the Eloqua metadata .xml file. Note the location on your computer where the metadata .xml file is saved.
  12. In MicroStrategy Identity Manager, click Upload Metadata. Navigate to and select the Eloqua metadata .xml file that you downloaded, then click Open. A message displays on the MicroStrategy Identity Manager page when the Eloqua metadata .xml file is successfully uploaded.
  13. Click Next.
  14. Note the Logout URL provided in MicroStrategy Identity Manager, then do the following:
    1. In Eloqua, edit the single sign-on configuration.
    2. In the Logout URL field, enter the Logout URL from MicroStrategy Identity Manager.
    3. Save the changes.
  15. In MicroStrategy Identity Manager, click Done.

To log into Eloqua, users select Use Another Account on the Eloqua login page. They enter your company name and select the configuration from the Identity Provider drop-down list. When they click Sign in, a QR code is displayed. Users scan the QR code using the MicroStrategy Badge app on their smartphones, and are then logged in to Eloqua.
