Removing an Item from a Menu

This topic provides step-by-step instructions on removing a menu item (menu or a submenu item) from an existing menu on a MicroStrategy Web page. You can use either of the following methods to remove an item from a menu. Changes to a menu affect every instance of the menu.

Interactivity with MicroStrategy Web is enabled

Make sure you have completed the Enabling Interactivity with MicroStrategy Web step before proceeding further.

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.  

  2. Access the MicroStrategy Web page for which you wish to remove an item from a menu.  

  3. Click the menu to expand it.  

  4. Right-click the menu item to remove and select Delete this Menu Item.  

  5. Confirm your selection.  

Interactivity with MicroStrategy Web is not enabled

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.  

  2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.  

  3. Click on Menus to expand the list of menus used in MicroStrategy Web.  

  4. Right-click the item you wish to remove and select Delete.  

  5. Click Yes to confirm that you wish to delete the item (menu or a submenu item).
