MicroStrategy ONE

Deleting an Add-on from a Specified Page

Deleting an add-on from a page removes the add-on instance from the page but does not delete the add-on class. This class is still available after removing the instance from the page. This topic provides step-by-step instructions on deleting an add-on from a MicroStrategy Web page.

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor

  2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.

  3. Click on Pages to expand the list of pages used in MicroStrategy Web.

  4. Double-click the page from which you wish to delete the add-on.

  5. Click the Add-On Properties tab.

  6. Select the appropriate add-on under the Add-ons section.

  7. Click the Delete button under the Add-Ons section to remove the instance of the add-on class from the page.

  8. Save your changes.

After you have completed this task, you must restart the application server for changes to take effect, unless the reloadConfigurationFiles property in microstrategy.xml is set to true. See Applying Customization Changes for information on changing the value of the reloadConfigurationFiles property.
