Adding a New Ribbon List

This topic provides step-by-step instructions on a new ribbon list to a MicroStrategy Web page.

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.  

  2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.  

  3. Click on Ribbons to expand the list of ribbon lists used in MicroStrategy Web.  

  4. Right-click any ribbon list and select New Ribbon List.  

  5. On the New Ribbon List dialog, enter the name for the new ribbon list and click OK. The new ribbon list is added under Ribbons and the Ribbon List editor is displayed in the right frame.  

  6. Enter a target path for the ribbon list in the text box for Target Path.  

  7. Enter the preferred toolbar in the text box for Selected Toolbar Preference.  

  8. The area for ribbons is empty since no ribbons have been added to the ribbon list. To add a new ribbon refer to Adding a New Ribbon to a Ribbon List.
