Deploying the Block Finder

The Block Finder is a tool provided with the MicroStrategy SDK that displays information about all blocks (model blocks and view blocks) used for rendering prompts in MicroStrategy Web. The following steps help you in getting started with the Block Finder.

Navigate to the tools/BlockFinder subfolder inside the MicroStrategy SDK installation.
Unzip and extract BlockFinder.zip to the plugins folder inside your MicroStrategy Web installation folder.

Launch MicroStrategy Web and execute a prompted report. Information of all blocks is displayed on the Prompt page.
