Make Customization and Localization Easy with Custom Tags

MicroStrategy custom tags can make customization in English and other languages simple and quick.

A MessagesBundle file (also called a localization descriptor file) stores text strings for a given language. MessagesBundle files contain a list of strings used in MicroStrategy Web for that MessageBundle file's language. A MessagesBundle string for languages other than English is the translated version of whatever the English version of that string is. For example, for the English string <web:descriptor key="mstrWeb.1" desc="Home"/>, the same string in the MessageBundle_fr.properties file is <web:descriptor key="mstrWeb.1" desc="Page d'accueil"/>.

The <web:descriptor> tag can be used to call a string from a given MessagesBundle file directly.
