How to Cluster Data

While you are refining your data before importing, you can group similar column data into a cluster and replace the values.

To cluster and edit column data

1. On the Data Wrangling Dialog, select the column you want to modify and choose Cluster and Edit from the Other section of the Select Function drop-down. The Cluster and Edit dialog opens with the column data grouped into clusters of related data.
2. In the Algorithm drop-down, select Fingerprint or Phonetic to modify the algorithm used to group the data.
3. To replace all of a cluster's values with a new value, select the checkbox of the corresponding cluster and type the replacement value in the New Cell Value field.

4. Click Merge and Recluster to replace the values of the selected clusters and recluster the data.
