Selecting a New File for the Page Section

This topic provides step-by-step instructions on selecting a new file that defines a page section for a MicroStrategy Web page.

1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.  

2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.  

3. Click on Pages to expand the list of pages used in MicroStrategy Web.  

4. Double-click the page for which you wish to select a new file for the page section.  

5. Click the Template Properties tab.  

6. Use any of the following methods to select the new file.  

   • Click the tab for the template that contains the page section for which you are selecting a new file. Click the page section for which you are selecting a new file. Navigate to the new file for the page section and click Open. The section is updated to show the name and location of the new file.  
   • Right-click the appropriate page section for which you are selecting a new file, and select Choose a new file. Navigate to the new file for the page section and click Open. The location field is updated to show the name and location of the new file.  

7. Save your changes.
