Modifying the File Used for the Page Template

This topic provides step-by-step instructions on modifying the file that defines a page template for a MicroStrategy Web page.

1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.  

2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.  

3. Click on Pages to expand the list of pages used in MicroStrategy Web.  

4. Double-click the page for which you wish to modify the file for the page template.  

5. Click the Template Properties tab.  

6. Click the appropriate page template tab for which you are modifying the file.  

7. Click the Modify button next to the Template File field.  

8. Click Yes to indicate you understand changes are made to a copy of the file in the current plug-in. The Template File field is updated to show the location of the new file in the plug-in, and the file opens for editing.  

9. Make necessary modifications to the file.  

10. Save your changes.
