Grid Options: Banding Settings

The Banding Settings dialog box allows you to select whether to band by rows or columns, the banding colors, and criteria such as every other row or every third column. This dialog box contains the following:

Banding preference

• By rows: Select to band by rows.

• By columns: Select to band by columns.

Banding colors

• First color: Click the arrow to select the first color used for banding.

• Second color: Click the arrow to select the second color used for banding.

General

• Apply banding colors to row values: Select to apply the selected banding colors to the row values.

Banding criteria

• By number of columns/rows: Select to band by number of columns or rows. Select the number of columns or rows to apply the first and second color to. The two colors are used alternately.

• By column/row header: Choose the desired report grid header from the list. The vertical (column) or horizontal (rows) bands on the grid are colored according to the groupings on the selected column or row.
