Trimming leading spaces of a value

When this option is enabled, the SQL generated when a report is executed will automatically trim any leading space that appears at the beginning of a data value. By default, the setting is automatically selected. This option applies to all reports in a project.

To trim leading spaces of a value

1. Right-click a project in the Folder List and choose MyPreferences. The My Preferences dialog box opens.

2. On the Editors tab, click Filter Options or Custom Group Options. The related dialog box opens.

3. Select the Trim leading spaces of a value check box.

4. Click OK. You are returned to the My Preferences dialog box.

5. Click OK.
