Accessing advanced filter qualifications

1. Open the Filter Editor. (How?)

2. In the Filter Definition pane, double-click Double-click here to add a qualification or drag an object from the Object Browser. The Filtering Options pane is enabled.

3. In the Filter Options pane, select Add an Advanced qualification. Then click OK. The Advanced Qualification pane is enabled.

4. Select Custom Expression from the Option list. Then use the Custom Expression box to build and validate your custom filter. Access the functions in one of the following ways:

   • Open the Functions and Operators folder using the drop-down list or folder list. Then open the Functions, Operators, or Plug-In Packages folder to access the various categories of functions and operators.

   • Click f(x) (Insert Function) in the Definition pane. The Insert Function wizard opens.

   • Type the function name and all required metric syntax directly in the Enter your expression here box.
