Format Cells dialog box: Number tab
The Number tab allows you to select the number formatting options, such as decimal spaces, currency symbol, time format, zip code format, and so on.
Select the desired category you would like to format, such as Date, from the Category list. The Settings and Sample sections of the dialog box change depending upon the category selected. The Settings area allows you to make your number formatting selections. For example, if you choose Date as your category, the Settings area allows you to choose which date format you would like to use, such as 4/12/23, April 12, 2023, 4/7/2023, and so on. Upon selecting a setting, the Sample area updates to provide you an example of your selection.
