Advanced Options dialog box (Relationship qualification)

The Advanced Options dialog box, when accessed from a relationship qualification, allows you to specify whether the filter criteria for the relationship qualification is applied to the report as a whole. The full name of this option is Also apply this qualification independently of the relationship filter. By default, this option is selected, which applies the criteria to the whole report.

If the option is cleared, the filter criteria is applied to the relationship qualification itself and not to the entire report. In other words, the filter is only included in the SQL statement that resolves the relationship filter (subquery) and not the outer query that resolves the report as a whole.

Click Advanced on Set Qualification pane: Relationship qualification in the Filter Editor.
