Connect via REST API

ODBC/JDBC drivers are more frequently used for traditional relational gateways, however retrieving data through REST APIs is also supported by MicroStrategy.

We provide access in MicroStrategy Web via the Data from URL option during data import. This allows you to expose your PostgreSQL data via REST APIs for data access, analytics, and integration. Currently, only retrieving data through REST APIs from PostgreSQL is certified.

  1. In MicroStrategy Web, choose Add Data > New Data.

     

  2. Click Data from URL. 

  3. Paste the URL into the text field. 

  4. Click Prepare Data to clean up your data, if necessary and then click Finish to publish the cube.
