Data Wrangling

No PostgreSQL specific customizations were made for this feature.

Data wrangling uses the data transformation and enrichment functionality inside MicroStrategy to prepare the data for analysis. 

With data wrangling you can:

  • Perform transformation functionality as the editor provides correction suggestions as you go through the data transformation process. 
  • Undo and redo the wrangling operations that are done on a dataset. 
  • Facet different columns and filter by different elements within those columns.

Workflow

  1. In MicroStrategy Web, click Create > Add External Data.
  2. Select the data to import.

  3. On the Preview dialog, click Wrangle.

  4. Create a facet on a column and profile to filter the data or to make changes to it.
