Translating Microstrategy Badge Labels

Identity Manager allows you to translate MicroStrategy Badge labels in different languages. By default, labels appear in English - but you can localize labels into many other languages.

1. Go to Badge Management > Properties > Manage Badge Properties.
2. Find the label you want to change. It will appear in English by default.
3. [Optional] Click the arrow to show the language dropdown list and then click the star next to the correct language name.
4. Enter the translated text in the field.

5. [Optional] Click Add to add more translations in different languages.

   If more than five translations are configured, the translations will collapse. Click Show+ to expand it.

6. Click Save.

Translating Extended Active Directory Attributes

This procedure is for translating the attribute field names only. The data will come from the identity management system and will remain in its original language.

1. Go to Badge Management > Design > Badge Design > Detail View.

   You will see all the configured Active Directory attributes configured across all the agent connections.

   The English locale is always required and the essential attribute names are unchangeable.

2. Add a language by clicking +Add.

   Changes made to the order and visibility of the attributes in the default locale will be applied to all locales.

   Once a new locale is added, all the translations in the default locale will be copied and filled in.

   The Preview only appears in English.

3. [Optional] Click the star next to the locale name to make it the default.
