Defining User Access

By default, everyone with a MicroStrategy Badge can use MicroStrategy Communicator. However, you can restrict access to MicroStrategy Communicator by setting a badge property option and assigning roles.

To Restrict/Enable Access to MicroStrategy Communicator

1. Log into MicroStrategy Identity Manager by navigating to the Identity Manager home page and using the MicroStrategy Badge app on your smartphone to scan the displayed QR code.
2. Click Users & Badges.
3. Under Badge Management, click Properties.
4. Click Basic.

5. For the Limit access to MicroStrategy Communicator option, switch the option to:

   On — restricts access to the MicroStrategy Communicator app to users with the Network Administrator or MicroStrategy Communicator role. To assign roles, see Manage Admin Roles.

   or

   Off — allows all users with a MicroStrategy Badge to access the MicroStrategy Communicator app.

6. Click Save.
