Tan (Tangent)
This function takes the value of an angle in radians and returns the tangent of the angle.
In a given right triangle containing an angle A
, there are three sides: the side opposite to A
, the side adjacent to A
, and the side opposite to the right angle (hypotenuse). The tangent of A
is the ratio of the lengths of the opposite side over the adjacent side.
To convert degrees to radians, multiply by p/180. This is a single-value function.
