View and Edit Basic Project-Level Properties
Starting in Strategy One (March 2025), type a project alias to assign your project an alternate name. Therefore, if your project name differs between your metadata and Library, you will not experience conflicts. You can also use properties to change the project owner.
You can view and edit the basic project-level properties.
The ability to view or edit certain settings is determined by a user's privileges. All necessary privileges are included in the Administrator role by default. You must belong to the System Administrators group to use this feature.
- Open the Workstation window with the Navigation pane in smart mode.
- In the Navigation pane, click Projects.
- Right-click a project and choose Properties.

Optionally edit the following fields:
Only users with certain privileges can edit these fields. For example, users must have the Configure project basic privilege. For more privilege information, see Privileges by License Type.
- Name: Type a name for the project.

Project Alias: Starting in Strategy One (March 2025), type a project alias to assign your project an alternate name. After you define the alias in Workstation and refresh the Library browser, the update is available in Library.
You must restart Tomcat to view the update in Web.
- Owner: Starting in Strategy One (March 2025), expand the drop-down list and choose an owner
- Description: Type a description of the project use and its available content.
- Data Engine Version: Expand the drop-down list and choose a version for your data engine. See Minimizing the Impact of Data Changes for Platform Release Upgrades for more information about modifying Data Engine Version.
- Click OK.
