Cognitive Element Filter Search

Strategy One (October 2025) introduces an enhancement to cognitive search called cognitive element filter search. Search results are now ranked to prioritize the most relevant elements, search results are faster and scale efficiently, and use advanced search syntax including logical operators, grouping, boolean operators, and more.

Prerequisites

Cognitive element filter search is only available in environments that meet the following criteria:

  • Cognitive search is enabled (Only applicable to Managed Cloud Enterprise users)

  • The relevant filter is Search-Box type.

  • Filter attributes are sourced from the in-memory cube.

  • The number of attribute elements is less than 1 million.

  • The query is specific enough that results do not exceed 10,000 elements

Disable Cognitive Element Filter Search

Strategy One (October 2025) adds support for cognitive element filter search automatically for Managed Cloud Enterprise users. To disable this functionality:

  1. Log in to Strategy Web.

  2. Go to User Preferences.

  3. Click Project Defaults under Preferences Level.

  4. In Features for Customer Feedback, expand the drop-down list next to 5. Cognitive Element Filter Search and choose Off.

  5. Click Save.
