MicroStrategy ONE

Mapbox Integration

Starting in MicroStrategy ONE (March 2024), Mapbox boundaries are upgraded to Enterprise v4. The upgrade improves data coverage and updates boundary information. For more information, see KB486400.

Mapbox maps are one of MicroStrategy's out-of-the-box offerings. Mapbox powers the Geospatial Service Visualization that allows you to plot data as bubbles, markers, or area maps, create thresholds by metrics or attributes and use conditional formatting for markers, and provides global coverage down to the postal code level of an area.

Mapbox maps are recommended if you want to build a dashboard that analyzes global data, use local language for map labels, change the unit of distance, or utilize dynamic map layers based on zoom level.

No warehouse or metadata information is sent to external servers. For details, see KB442171.

To use Mapbox out-of-the-box, you must first perform the following steps:

  1. Generate a Key for Mapbox
  2. Configure Mapbox Visualizations

After, you can begin using the Geospatial Service Visualization in the Visualization Gallery.
