Requesting a Secure VPN Connection to Integrate Identity with your Systems

For MicroStrategy cloud implementations, you can provide an added layer of security when you connect MicroStrategy Identity with your identity management (IDM) system and physical access control systems (PACS) by securing the connection to these systems through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection.

You have a MicroStrategy Cloud implementation.

You have created an Identity Network and badge.

To Request a Secure VPN Connection

  1. Install and configure an IPSec-capable device to support the VPN connection to your IDM or PACS environment.
  2. Log into MicroStrategy Identity Manager.
  3. To retrieve the network ID and name for your Identity network, from the drop-down list on the top right, select Manage Networks. A list of your Identity networks is displayed. The network ID and name are also displayed.
  4. Send an email to support@microstrategy.com. Provide the following information:
    • The name of your organization
    • A corporate email address and point of contact
    • The network ID and name of your Identity network

    A member of the support team will contact you to request further technical details.
