Refreshing the Custom PACS Adapter Cache

When information in your physical access control system (PACS) changes, you must refresh the PACS adapter cache to allow MicroStrategy Identity to access the new information.

The cache on the PACS adapter contains information about each user, door or portal; and permissions, such as whether a user has access to use a door. When that information changes in the PACS, it becomes active in the adapter after the cache is refreshed in the adapter. The cache refresh can take several minutes.

To start a cache refresh, on the machine hosting the adapter, visit this URL:

http://localhost:8080/Usher.svc/flush_cache

A successful cache refresh response is as follows:
