Enabling Notifications for Directory Agent Status Changes

If you synchronize users leveraging an LDAP-based Identity Directory Gateway, then it may be helpful for the Identity Administrator (creator of the Identity Network), or all Network Administrators of the Identity Network, to be notified by email when the Identity Directory Agent is unable to access the third-party Directory Server or Service. The notification includes the name and ID of the Identity Directory Agent. By default, notifications are not enabled.

To Enable Notifications for Directory Agent Status Changes

1. Log into MicroStrategy Identity Manager:
2. Click Users & Badges.
   
3. Under Badge Management, click Properties.

4. Click Directory Agent.

5. Select one of the options:
   • No notification
   • Notify the network creator
   • Notify all the network admins
6. Click Save.
