Specifying how custom groups are displayed

Steps to specify how a custom group is displayed

For each custom group element, you can choose whether to display only its name, its individual items, or both. For more information on each option, see Specifying how custom group elements are displayed. By default, only the name is displayed on a report. You can also format element headers and the items. For more information, see Formatting custom groups.

For the custom group as a whole, you can select whether to:

  • Allow hierarchical display, as opposed to a flat listing. For an expanded description, with an example, see Enabling hierarchical display of custom groups.

  • Allow subtotals.

  • Display element headers above or below the items of the custom group.

For more information and examples, see the Custom Groups and Consolidations chapter in the Advanced Reporting Help.
