MicroStrategy ONE
Report Editor: Find dialog box
In the Report Editor, you can use Find and Find Next to quickly track down a value in a report or to jump to a portion of a report. This option is available in Grid, SQL, and MDX views. The Find functionality is similar to standard functionality available in many software products.
Grid view
Finding a value works the same as in Microsoft Excel. In the grid, each cell is treated as a string value. For example, if a grid contains both 50 and 500, both cells are found when you search for 50.
SQL view
Finding a value works the same as in Microsoft Notepad. By default, this search is conducted in the SQL for a report. To search in the Report Details pane of a report, click in that pane before opening the Find dialog box.
MDX view
Finding a value works the same as in Microsoft Notepad. By default, this search is conducted in the MDX for an MDX cube report. For information on integrating MDX cube sources into MicroStrategy, see Integrating MDX Cubes into MicroStrategy in the MDX Cube Reporting Help.
Accessing the Find dialog box
In Grid, SQL, or MDX view in the Report Editor, select Find from the Edit menu. Alternatively, press CTRL+I.
