MicroStrategy ONE
Formatting the Grid/Graph container vs. title bar
You can format three different parts of a Grid/Graph:
-
The container of a Grid/Graph, which is the object that displays the actual report grid or graph. Most of the formatting suggestions provided in Useful formatting suggestions for Grid/Graphs apply to the container.
-
The report grid or graph, that is, the data (metrics, attributes, bars, pie slices) displayed in the Grid/Graph. You must edit a Grid/Graph before you can format the report grid or graph. For information on formatting the report grid or graph, such as changing the font for a specific metric or bar riser, see Editing Grid/Graphs in documents.
-
The title bar of a Grid/Graph. A title bar allows MicroStrategy Web users to minimize and maximize the Grid/Graph, and it identifies the Grid/Graph in all views.
Each part is formatted independently of the others. For example, if you apply a background color to the container of a Grid/Graph, neither the title bar nor the report grid displays in that color.
The following table lists the various formatting options available for a container and for a title bar.

The background of the container shows only when the container is larger than the grid inside it. This occurs when all of the following conditions are met:
-
The Grid/Graph is displayed as a grid.
-
Height mode and Width mode are set to Fixed. This allows the specified Height and Width figures to be used.
