Find and Replace dialog box

The Find and Replace dialog box allows you to:

  • Apply an autostyle to a set of reports and templates

Replacing autostyles invalidates the report caches. A new cache is created when the report is run for the first time after the replacement.

  • Modify the following report data options for a set of reports and templates:

    • Display: Null Values

    • General: Drilling

    • General: Advanced

When Report Data Options are replaced on a report, the report's cache becomes invalid. A new cache is created when the report is run for the first time after the replacement.

  • Apply graph preferences, such as line resizing and scrolling behavior, to a set of reports

  • Modify metric formatting options, such as text alignment and padding, for a set of metrics and subtotals

  • Apply a graph font and character set to the graph titles and labels of a set of reports and templates

  • Modify export options, such as the destination name and macros, for a set of reports and templates

Replacing export options invalidates the report caches. A new cache is created when the report is run for the first time after the replacement.

  • Replace an object in all the objects that depend on it (for example, replace a filter in all reports, templates, and metrics that use the filter)

The Object dependencies option is available only if you have enabled it in the Project Configuration Editor. For instructions, see Enabling find and replace for object dependencies.
