Changing the operators for multiple qualifications

Multiple qualifications in a custom group element are combined with set operators, which govern the interaction between the qualifications. The set operators include the following:

• AND

• OR

• OR NOT

• AND NOT

The default set operator is AND, although you can change it (see the procedure below).

For an example, refer to the Basic Reporting Help. Since qualifications in custom groups are the same as qualifications in filters, the filters example also works for custom groups.

Prerequisite

This procedure assumes you have created a custom group element with at least two qualifications. For more information, seeCreating custom groups.

To change the operator in a custom group

1. Open the custom group in the Custom Group Editor. (How?)

2. In the Custom Group Definition pane, right-click the operator to change, point to Toggle Operator, and then click the new operator.

3. Save the custom group. (How?)
