Banding type: Band size

The Band size type of banding qualification slices a range of metric values into a number of bands that appear as rows on a report. You define the range by setting the start at and stop at values. You also set the step size, which is the size of each band.

For example, given the following values:

  • Start at = 10

  • Stop at = 50

  • Step size = 10

The custom group element is sliced into four bands of 10 points apiece:

  • 10 - 20

  • 20 - 30

  • 30 - 40

  • 40 - 50

The difference between Band size and Band count is:

  • Band size defines the size of each band

  • Band count defines the number of bands

For instructions, see Creating custom group banding qualifications.
