Banding type: Band count
The Band count type of banding qualification slices a range of metric values into a number of equal bands that appear as rows on a report. You define the range by setting the start at and stop at values. You also set the band count, which is the number of bands to use.
For example, given the following values:
-
Start at = 10
-
Stop at = 50
-
Band count = 5
The custom group element is sliced into five bands of eight points apiece:
-
10 - 18
-
18 - 26
-
26 - 34
-
34 - 42
-
42 - 50
The difference between Band count and Band size is:
-
Band count defines the number of bands
-
Band size defines the size of each band
