Advanced Options dialog box (Relationship qualification)

You can specify whether the filter criteria for the relationship qualification is applied to the report as a whole, by using the Advanced Options dialog box accessed from a relationship qualification. The full name of this option is Also apply this qualification independently of the relationship filter. By default, this property is selected, which applies the criteria to the whole report.

If the option is cleared, the filter criteria is applied to the relationship qualification itself and not to the entire report. In other words, the filter is only included in the SQL statement that resolves the relationship filter (subquery) and not the outer query that resolves the report as a whole.

Accessing the Advanced Options dialog box

1. Click Advanced on Set Qualification pane: Relationship qualification in the Custom Group Editor.
