Accessing the Insert Function Wizard
The Insert Function button, which is displayed as f(x) in the toolbar when you are creating or editing a metric expression, opens the Insert Function Wizard. Below are instructions on how to access the wizard from various editors.

Before you can access an object editor, you must log into a project.
From the Attribute Editor
The Insert Function button is available in the Form expression box on the Create New Form Expression and Modify Form Expression dialog boxes.
From the Input Metric Formula dialog box
The Insert Function button is available in the Input Metric Formula dialog box when you create or edit the formula of a derived metric.
From the Fact Editor
The Insert Function button is available in the Fact expression box on the Create New Fact Expression and Modify Fact Expression dialog boxes.
From the Filter Editor
The Insert Function button is available in the Custom expression box in the Advanced Qualification pane.
From the Custom Group Editor
The Insert Function button is available in the Custom expression box in the Advanced Qualification pane.
From the Metric Editor or Subtotal Editor
The Insert Function button is available in the definition display of the Formula tab.
From the Transformation Editor
The Insert Function button is available in the Define a new member attribute expression and Modify an existing member attribute expression dialog boxes.
